A MUSICAL treat is in store when the Inkberrow Sinfonia take to the stage to perform a packed programme including Beethoven’s Triple Concerto, a piece rarely played by local orchestras.
However the great German composer’s work will be in safe hands as the Sinfonia have recruited top violinist Shulah Oliver, from Droitwich, cellist Becky Rose from Stourport and pianist Tim Sidford from Malvern to perform it.
Known collectively as the Estrilda Trio, of particular note is that Tim will be playing a rare Broadwood ‘barless’ grand piano.
The programme will also include Mendelssohn’s Overture, The Fair Melusine and Haydn’s Symphony no. 101 (Clock) with the orchestra under the baton of conductor Richard Laing.
Tickets are just £10 from Inkberrow PO, Forge Shop, and Jenny Powis on 01386 792909 and the concert will be held in St Peter’s Church, Inkberrow at 7.30pm on Saturday, September 17. All welcome.
