ARTRIX will be screening The Royal Shakespeare Company’s ‘Othello’ at 7pm on the September 2.
The play will feature Hugh Quarshie as Othello, the greatest general of his age, fearsome defender of Venice and loving husband, as he fends off his clandestine enemies and struggles with his own fragile and destructive pride.
The actor returns to the RSC after more than a decade of working on other projects, such as Star Wars: The Phantom Menace and his ongoing role as Ric Griffin on TV’s Holby City.
He will be playing opposite Lucian Msamati in the role of Iago.
The role also marks Msamati’s first return to the RSC after his portrayal of Pericles in Shakespeare’s Pericles, Prince of Tyre.
Tickets for screening of one of the Bard’s most famous plays are available online at www.artrix.co.uk or from the box office on 01527 577330.
They are £15 or £12 for students.
