KILLING zombies, scoring a winning goal and racing around a track in a car will all be on offer for those taking part in a 24 hour video gameathon.

A total of 20 people will fire up televisions, consoles and even an arcade machine, from 10am next Friday (July 25) at Your Ideas to raise funds for people with aspergers.

A target of £1,000 has been set by the group based at Dilwyn Close who want to use the money to develop the Spectrum project which reduces social isolation for youngsters with the syndrome.

As part of the event gamers will also be setting themselves personal challenges and competing in tournaments.

Bridget Nisbet, the mother of James Nisbet who is taking part in the challenge, has already donated more than £450 to the cause after trekking 40 miles with members of the Shake That walking club.

Visit www.yourideas.org.uk for more information or to donate to the group.
