THE Abbey Stadium will be holding its next open day at the end of May to encourage mental health and fitness for everyone.

Next Saturday, May 28, 2016, and from 8am to 6pm, the Abbey Stadium will open its doors to members and non-members offering free classes to try including Grit, Zumba, Studio Cycling, Bootcamp, Mobility, Thai Chi and Yoga as well as many more.

Special offers will be available on the day; sign up on the day and pay no joining fee and bring a friend for free. If you’re already a member, refer a friend on the day and get £25 back on your membership.

Councillor Bill Hartnett, Leader of the Council, said: “We know exercise is a key factor in maintaining physical and mental health so we’re pleased to be supporting local mental health charities.

“Our open days always have a really great atmosphere with the buzz of people attending classes.

“It’s a chance for visitors to find out what’s on offer at the Abbey and benefit from some of the great discounts during the day.”

Charity collections and a raffle will be on offer with donations going to local causes and mental health charities.

Refreshments will be available throughout the day.

Residents should be aware that some classes will need to be booked in advance to avoid disappointment.
