AN ABBEYDALE resident is striving to raise vital funds for refugees in Calais and Greece.
Nazia Parveen is hoping to help refugees before the onslaught of Winter truly sets in and will be travelling to Calais as a volunteer at the end of December.
She is hoping to raise £1,500 which will purchase sleeping bags, blankets and waterproof winter clothing such as socks, gloves, scarves, coats and wellies.
