ONE OF Redditch’s most popular hotels and once again raised thousands of pounds for a good causes.

The Abbey Golf Hotel has raised £3,000 for the Primrose Hospice and delivered the cheque to them on Tuesday (June 7).

The staff took part in several fund-raising activities including sponsored golf buggy pushes and colour runs.

A Primrose hospice spokeswoman said: “I would like to thank all of the staff at The Abbey Hotel for choosing to support Primrose Hospice as their Charity of the Year.

“Without the support of businesses such as The Abbey Hotel, our work would be unable to continue, and the vital services that we offer to patients with a life limited illness would not be possible”

Pam Osborne, sales Manager, said: “I thought of Primrose Hospice as the home support I had when mom was living with us, supported not only her but my whole family.

“As a local charity they provide a wealth of services to families when they most need it. Being a family owned hotel I felt that raising funds for a charity that has such family values, supports the local community and, as so often happens, you don’t know that they are there until you need them.
