THOUSANDS of visitors flocked to Alcester to sample its first regular market last Sunday.
The artisan market was opened by Mayor Yvonne Hine and High Bailiff Vaughan Blake and is believed to be the first monthly market in the town for more than 100 years.
Stalls selling everything from handmade jewellery to water colour originals lined the high street.
The event will run on the third Sunday of every month, with the next taking place on May 17.
Alcester Mayor Yvonne Hine opened the town’s artisan market along with members of Alcester Court Leet. (s)
