A FLOCK of sheep took to the road on the A46 dual carriageway between Alcester and Bidford on Tuesday just as the rush hour got underway (Tuesday, August 23).
The sheep emerged from the Bidford end of the road to the surprise of Redditch Standard photographer Marcus Mingins who witnessed the drama unfold.
“They were just wandering all over the road – I was trying my best to warn drivers but they were just carrying on down towards them.”
A police spokesperson said: “We were called at 4.55pm on Tuesday (August 23) to reports of multiple sheep in the road on the A46, from Bidford towards Salford Priors. Police dealt with the situation and the road was clear by 5.58pm.”
