The Alexandra Hospital is hosting a return to nursing event.

HOSPITALS in Worcestershire are looking for former nurses to receive free training and come back to nursing at Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust.

The ‘Return to Practice’ campaign is being launched this summer to encourage previously registered nurses to return to the profession, with a course fully funded by Health Education England.

An information event will be held next Saturday, August 13 from 10am until 2pm at the Alexandra Hospital in Redditch to give more details. The event will give information, advice and assistance with applications, for anyone who may be interested in returning to practice.

Staff from Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust and the University of Worcester will be on-hand to offer advice and support, including information about your course could be funded.

Anyone wishing to come back to nursing can receive lots of fantastic benefits such as a fully funded return to practice course, a £500 bursary from Health Education England to help with study materials and other outgoings, as well as a contract with the Trust to gain experience and earn money while you.

Sarah Needham, Lead Nurse for Education said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for former nurses to return to practice and get back into nursing. The programme is fully funded and you will receive excellent support throughout as well as lots of benefits.

“Worcestershire is a great place to live and work, and this course is the perfect way to come back to nursing.”

There is no need to book ahead, anyone is welcome to attend the information event on the day, from 10am on Saturday, August 13 in the Arafa Education Centre at the Alexandra Hospital, Woodrow Drive, Redditch, B98 7UB.
