An excercise in crowdfunding

THE TEAM behind the toned physiques of the Miss England competitors, including Redditch’s own Rosie Thompson, are looking to expand.

Trainers at Xtreme Boot Camps, who will put the finalists through their pace in this year’s pageant, are hoping to take their techniques into gymnasiums and are using crowdfunding to get their project off the ground.

Mother and son duo, Zoe and James Evans, launched the company in 2013 in Stratford-upon-Avon and have seen their empire grow to cover three other locations, including Wythall.

The team has now taken over the lease of a building which they plan to convert into the first Xtreme Gym.

James said: “We have changed so many lives so far with our unique style of fitness training that the time has come for us to deliver a package that appeals to a wider audience.”

The pair have already raised a substantial amount of money but are launching their Crowdfunding campaign to raise extra funds to kickstart the business’ initial cash flow.

Xtreme’s campaign started on Monday (August 17) and you can visit www.crowdfunder.co.uk/xtreme-gyms to lend your support and scoop reduced memberships, exclusive t-shirts, tickets to the opening party and even the opportunity to sign the gym walls.
