PEOPLE who flypost in Studley have been slammed by the parish council as the village gears up for the arrival of the Britain in Bloom judges on Friday (July 22) with a return visit planned in August.
Vice chairman Councillor Jim Bacon spoke out after seeing several stuck up around the village, detracting from its appearance.
“It’s unfair that so many volunteers do a lot of work for the benefit of the village and yet they could get points knocked off because of these flyposters – and besides it’s illegal unless they ask us first,” he said.
Studley is a five times winner of the Heart of England in Bloom competition and this is the first time it has ever been asked to enter Britain in Bloom.
