Art and craft on show

Redditch Editorial 25th Jul, 2014 Updated: 18th Oct, 2016   0

ALVECHURCH Village Hall is playing host to an art and craft exhibition which will be available to view today (Friday) and tomorrow (Saturday).

Open Art Surgery will feature 100 previously unexhibited paintings by budding local artists who have produced the work in classes run by Droitwich-based art teacher Pam McGregor.

The two classes meet at the village hall every Thursday and the works are in a variety of mediums including oils, acrylics, watercolours, pastels and crayons.

Art from another of Pam’s groups, which meets in Droitwich, will also be on display and there will be a special ‘Countries of the World’ section also created by members of the groups especially for the exhibition.

This is the third annual exhibition the groups have put on and many of the artists will be on hand to discuss their work.

Tomorrow there will be crafts on show as well and Pam has also invited other budding artists who maybe want help and advice on painting to bring along any pictures they are working on (no appointment is necessary).

The exhibition will be open from 10am until 6pm today and between 10am and 5pm tomorrow.

Admission is free and refreshments are available.
