THE new Artists Workhouse in Studley has won the admiration of Stratford MP Nadhim Zahawi who dropped in for a visit last Friday.

The MP was on a tour of the constituency and had been invited down by local district councillor Justin Kerridge.

“It’s an inspiring venue – a great coming together of talent and community and a tremendous boost for the arts,” said Mr Zahawi.

The Artists Workhouse is the brainchild of local woman Dawn Harris, an artist herself, and it’s fast finding favour as the ideal exhibition space.

It’s also home to a collection of studios, giving artists the space, time and privacy to develop their projects.

Two weeks ago the local infants school exhibited their paintings, followed by an exhibition of work by international artists while Studley Art Society (SAS) have also exhibited there.

The Artists Workhouse is located opposite the Victoria Works pub on Redditch Road.
