Beauty could be crowned Miss Teen UK

A BROCKHILL beauty will be among the pageant princesses hoping to be crowned Miss Earth Teen United Kingdom.

Rosie Thompson qualified for this year’s competition, which promotes environmental protection and animal conservation, and will be representing the county in the grand final on September 21 in Birmingham.

The 17-year-old also wowed judges in a separate Miss Worcestershire competition which could see her go forward to take part in Miss England and eventually next year’s Miss World contest.

Both of the pageants are in aid of different charities and the Bromsgrove School pupil is raising funds for Girls4Trees, Beauties for a Cause and Beauty with a Purpose.

To boost funds the teenager has organised a ladies shopping and fashion evening at the Abbey Hotel in Redditch on Thursday, September 11 at 7.30pm.

Tickets cost £4 and there will be 18 stalls including nail technicians, spray tans, Body Shop products and live demonstrations.

Live music and a fashion show will also be on offer where nearly new clothes will be auctioned off.

The Miss England organiser and Miss Birmingham 2014 will be making a guest appearance.

Miss Thompson, who is Miss Birmingham 2014 runner-up, also needs local businesses to sponsor her £50 to continue in the competition and the company’s name will feature on the Teen UK website and on her sash.

She said: “To potentially win Miss England or Miss Teen United Kingdom would be a dream come true.

“I am proud of where I come from, and would love to have the title and opportunity to promote national fund-raising projects, alongside telling the world all about our country’s great culture and history.”

Anyone interested in sponsoring Rosie or purchasing tickets should call 01527 681 30 or visit Pampered Pets on Windsor Road.
