BLUES rockers will dust off their instruments to raise money for life-saving equipment in Redditch.

A trio of blues bands will take to the stage at the Palace Theatre on Saturday (May 31) in aid of Redditch Heart Safe.

The Axemen Cometh show will include groups Heavy Oil (pictured), Devlin Blue and Aynsley Lister which among them have a wealth of experience playing the blues to crowds across Europe.

Money made from ticket sales will go towards funding defibrillators in every school, sports centre and public buildings within the borough and surrounding areas. The money will also be used to provide training.

Organiser Guy Hale, who holds charity gigs across the Midlands through Hillside Blues, said he chose Redditch Heart Safe after coaching at Redditch Rugby Club which received the life-saving equipment due to the charity’s work.

The show starts at 7.30pm with tickets costing £15.75 for adults and £10.75 for concessions, available from the box office on 01527 65203.
