A BOROUGH beauty could be crowned Miss Birmingham after reaching the competition’s finals.

Molly Noke was picked out from the crowds at the Clothes Show late last year and made it through the initial stages to be named among the top 40 contenders.

The 16-year-old from Oakenshaw is now busy creating an eco-dress and raising money for the Miss England charity Beauty With A Purpose, ahead of the finals on March 15.

Molly, a Year 12 student at Tudor Grange Academy, said: “I was shocked when I got through to the interviews as I wasn’t expecting anything back from it.

“I felt like they asked really hard questions and I didn’t know if I answered them very well we were all really happy when I got through to the finals.

“I’m nervous because I’ve never done anything like it before but I’m also excited as it’s a new experience and I get to meet new people.”
