A FUN day out could lead to many more thanks to a donation for the Beavers.
Coconut Island owner Peter Hughes heard the 11th Redditch (Rowan) group needed high-visibility jackets while they were at the Lakeside venue and offered leader Lesley Spencer the money on the spot.
She said: “It’s great because we’ll be able to go out into the community more safely and they can get them on themselves which will make them more independent.”
Mr Hughes added: “It’s good to do something to help local groups if you’re a business in the area.
“I know they struggle to raise funds so it’s nice to put something back into the community.” he said.
