POLICE are appealing for witnesses following a burglary at a property in Headless Cross on Saturday (July 16)

At around 10:50pm, CCTV recorded an unknown male accessing the rear garden area at a property on Feckenham Road, Headless Cross via an insecure gate.

The man then approached an insecure shed to remove and steal a garden McAllister blue and black strimmer.

The CCTV also showed the male trying the gates of other neighbouring properties and walking over drives.

The offender is described as 5 feet tall, male, 35 to 40 years and carrying a torch. He was wearing dark coloured jacket with reflective strips.

PC Field said: “There have been a number of similar offences over the last couple of weeks and we have increased patrols to stop these offences. We would urge anyone who saw this person to contact the police. We would also ask for the public’s help, if they see anything suspicious in the area to call the police.”

Anyone with information is urged to call West Mercia Police on 101, quoting incident 279s 17 July or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or at www.crimestoppers-uk.org
