OFFICERS investigating a robbery at Co-op store on Evesham Road, Redditch have released CCTV images of a man they wish to speak to who may be able to help with their enquiries.

The incident occurred at 10:10am on Monday, June 15. A man entered the store with a bladed weapon in his hand and demanded the safe to be opened and he be given the contents.

The man made off with cash and gift vouchers totalling nearly £2,000.  He also took a delivery of cigarettes that had just arrived in store.

Following the incident the man left the shop via the fire exit and ran into an alleyway that leads to Jordans Close. He was then seen getting into a vehicle, a white Ford Transit van.

The van left Jordans Close and turned left onto Evesham Road. The van had distinctive red and blue lettering on the side of it.

Anyone who with any information is advised to call police on 101 quoting incidence reference number 178 of Monday, June 15.
