POLICE want to speak to this man after racist remarks were allegedly made on a train heading towards Redditch.

British Transport Police (BTP) received a number of complaints from passengers about the behaviour of a group of men on the 5.45pm train from Birmingham New Street on Sunday, February 15.

PC Daniel Hoskin from BTP said: “Passengers challenged four men who were making loud racist remarks.

“One of the men reacted to this by making more racist comments and aggressively challenging offended passengers to confront him about his behaviour.”

Police later received a report from someone who witnessed the incident.

PC Hoskin added: “We are working hard to identify those responsible for this incident.

“I believe the man in the image we are issuing today has information about what took place. Do you know who he is?”

Anyone with information is asked to contact British Transport Police on 0800 40 50 40, or text 61016, quoting reference MSUB/B10 of 05/03/2015.

Information can also be passed anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
