STUDLEY-based Brewin Books have published the first ever pictorial history of the village in which they are based. Studley Through Time features more than 200 photographs, spanning more than 100 years of history.
Studley Through Time has been written by local resident and Brewin Books director, Alistair Brewin. who said: “It seems fitting that in the company’s 40th year we have finally published a book on the village we know and love so well.
“Many residents have generously lent photographs and information to create a fascinating snapshot of village life. Studley’s once dominant needle trade is also fully illustrated.”
Established in 1976, Brewin Books have published more than 400 titles, many running into reprints and new editions, with a large proportion still in print. Today the company, still independent and family owned, continues to concentrate on all aspects of Midland life.
Studley Through Time, priced at £8.95, is available from Redditch branches of Waterstones and WH Smith.
