SCHOOL CHILDREN from Alcester Grammar and St Benedict’s escaped serious injury when a coach skidded into a ditch at a notorious blackspot.
The bus carrying more than 40 children left the road at The Ridgeway near Stratford around 9am on Wednesday (January 14) after it is believed to have hit black ice.
Police and paramedics were called to the scene and the road was temporarily blocked.
A spokesman from West Midlands Ambulance Service said: “A total of 46 children were on board, but only one, a 12-year-old boy was assessed for a minor eye injury before being discharged at the scene.”
