CONNECT Redditch has celebrated their one year anniversary by holding an open coffee morning for members of the community.
The service held the event on Wednesday (May 11) where they welcomed residents to mark their first year of success having helped several adults with learning disabilities and supported them with education, leisure and employment opportunities. They aim to increase the individuals’ confidence so they can approach these areas independently in the future.
Alan Sheward, team leader, said: “We have had a fantastic first year, with an incredibly positive response from Redditch town and the local community. The people who use our service have gained a noticeable amount of confidence in accessing local facilities and attending community groups. I am delighted with our success and look forward to continuing to develop the service.”
