AS THE counting continues at Redditch town hall just before 1am, we have been chatting to a representative for Conservative candidate Karen Lumley to get a feel for the night so far.
The overall impression is things are looking good for Mrs Lumley who is fighting to retain her seat for a second term,” he said.
“All the signs are pointing in the right direction and things are looking optimistic.
“She has a solid record and if the exit polls across the country are looking anything like we are getting, it is looking very promising.
“I think people feel like it has been a difficult five years for everyone, but things are going to get better and why would you stop when things are on the up?
“She has worked tirelessly for the last five years and has done lots for the people of Redditch.
“Face to face recognition is massive, you walk down the street with her and nobody doesn’t know who she is.
“She’s very approachable and reliable and massively cares about the town.”
