A CORKING day is in store as the annual Headless Cross Apple Day returns.
Taking place at the community orchard on the district’s green, the day will feature entertainment from the Silhill Morris Dancers and musicians from the area, as well as craft, community and food stalls.
There will also be the opportunity to have a go on the hilarious Human Fruit Machine, apple juicing and there will be a special design a juice bottle label contest for children with prizes on offer.
Orchard volunteer Alistair Waugh said: “This year’s Apple Day is going to be knock-out. There’s something for everyone.”
The event takes place on Saturday, October 4 from 11am to 3pm and anyone with apples and pears can bring them along to be juiced or call Alistair on 07751 305654 if help is needed to harvest them.
