Curtain’s up on Redditch 2015 awards beneficiary ....

PRIDE of Redditch is proud to announce that this year’s 2015 awards will raise money for local performing arts charity Indigo Arts.

Each year a local group has been the beneficiary of the event and organisers hope guests will once again dig deep for the raffle to support the work of the charity that has been enhancing the lives of many across the town since 2001.

Director Cathy Moss said: “Indigo is absolutely delighted to be involved with this event, and really grateful to be its chosen charity. As a community focused organisation we are only too aware of how much great work is done at the grassroots of this town.

“Our belief that the arts are central to the support and development of our community has brought us into contact with a whole range of individuals and organisations over the last 14 years, and we have been lucky enough to be involved with a team of people, workshop participants and performers who are a real asset to the town and great ambassadors for everything that Redditch has to offer.

“Totally reliant on fund raising, grants and donations to subsidise the professional services we provide, we thank Pride of Redditch and all those who have supported us over such a long period.

“I would leave you with these thoughts: Without imagination there is no hope, without creativity there is no progress, and the opposite of creativity is destruction.

“Indigo strives to produce well rounded, imaginative and creative thinkers who can use the many skills borne of such experience to strengthen and develop both themselves and their communities now and in the future.”

Organiser Ian Dipple said: “These awards are one way of celebrating the best of what Redditch has to offer and being able to fundraise for a local charity like Indigo Arts, who have worked tirelessly to provide meaningful activities for residents, is the least we can do.

“After their typical full-on year and their Edinburgh Fringe Tour I am over the moon to have them headlining the Awards.”

The Awards will be on December 11 at 8pm – location to be confirmed.

Tickets will be available on the night, however to avoid disappointment it is advised they are purchased in advance.
