Dallas calls for young footballers

BUDDING young footballers from a borough school have showcased their skills stateside.

Ben Walsh, Andrew Liddle and Jake Donnelly, who are all in Year 11 at St Augustine’s Catholic High School, were part of the Worcestershire County Schools FA team that took part in the Dallas Cup in America over the Easter weekend.

The trio all currently play for Headless Cross FC while Ben and Andrew also turnout for Worcester City FC. Jake has also appeared for the Aston Villa youth team in the past.

As well as getting the chance to experience American life, the boys also had a chance to impress college scouts watching the tournament.




Tony Quinn, principal of St Augustine’s, said: “Maybe we will see them in the future playing Soccer in the MFL.”
