Day and night trek for the hospice

A TEAM of tenacious fund-raisers completed a gruelling all-terrain 100k walk to raise funds for the Primrose Hospice.

Sarah Wilson and Dave and Rachel Mills, who all attend The Abbey Stadium gym, trekked from London to Brighton, walking day and night to complete it in just 27 hours and 53 minutes.

Sarah said: “It was an amazing experience – mentally and physically demanding – we have a few blisters – but we completed it.”

Sarah, who works for Mettis Areospace, chose the charity because she said she wanted to support a local charity and put something back into her local community.

Rachel and Dave undertook the feat in memory of Rachel’s mom, Dot Cooper, who passed away in June 2012 and was cared for at the hospice.

A spokesperson for the Primrose said they wanted to say a massive thank you to Sarah, Dave and Rachel for taking on such an amazing challenge.
