WORKERS from a borough supermarket proved every little helps by donating dozens of items to support young people at risk of homelessness.
Tesco handed over 12 trays of products to Redditch Nightstop containing everything from wallpaper to bedding and saucepans.
Dale Maxwell, customer service manager, said: “Tesco is seen as this large major organisation but we have a large role in the community and we wanted to give something back. Rather than reducing these items and selling them off we thought we would give them to people who need them more.”
Sharon McCall, volunteer co-ordinator for the charity, said the products would be used to help young people get started when moving into their own accommodation.
“This kind of support is everything to us. We wouldn’t be able to provide half of what we do for young people without it.”
