Donations needed to help rescued rabbits

Redditch Editorial 13th Oct, 2014 Updated: 18th Oct, 2016   0

DONATIONS are desperately needed to keep rescued rabbits safe and warm over the winter.

Pam Gregg, who has run the Small Animal Sanctuary in Matchborough for the last five years, is hosting a fund-raising day on Saturday (October 6) at Christ Church in the district centre to help her buy hutches for the bunnies she has saved.

She currently has 133 animals, including cats and guinea pigs as well as the rabbits, but relies on donations from the public and businesses to keep going.

“All of the donations of goods we get help to fund the animals. At the moment I need to replace lots of hutches for the winter.

“If anybody wants to donate we are grateful for anything and will come and collect things within reason.”

The event runs from 1pm to 4pm and includes meet and greet times with the animals, refreshments, a cake stall, jewellery and handmade cards as well as an auction and games.

For more information or to donate, call Pam on 01527 515039.
