REDDITCH is once again preparing for its third Wellbeing Week from Monday, October 5 in the build up to World Mental Health Day on Saturday, October 10.

Redditch Wellbeing Week is an initiative started by the Redditch Mental health Action Group to promote how residents can improve their mental wellbeing by improving other elements of their lives.

Mary Jones, member of Redditch MHAG said: “After the success of last year’s poetry night we have had requests to repeat it. Many people enjoy reading, writing and listening to poetry and it’s an excellent opportunity to get out and hear the talent we have in our town.

“Last year our poets spanned from teens to pensioner and we even had a guest from Malvern – a lovely surprise to have a Malvern resident coming to Redditch for culture”. Anyone wanting to take part should contact [email protected] there will also be an open mike during the evening.

Whether you write poetry or want to listen to other local writers why not come along to Redditch’s second annual poetry evening, doors open 7pm for 7.30pm start at the Redi Centre.

Tickets are £2, available on the night and tea, coffee and cakes will be available at the cafe. Proceeds will go towards groups in the town who are helping to improve mental wellbeing.
