A QUANTITY of cannabis and suspected Class A drugs have been seized from two properties in Redditch.

The addresses in Melen Street, near the town centre, and Meadowhill Crescent in Riverside were both searched by West Mercia Police on Wednesday (July 2).

During the search cannabis and what is believed to be Class A drugs were discovered.

A 25-year-old man from Redditch is due to be interviewed under caution for possession with intent to supply on Saturday (July 5).

PC Rich Field, of the Redditch Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: “This follows a number of other positive warrants this month.

“We are keen to disrupt the supply of illegal drugs into Redditch. The minority who supply or take drugs will face robust operations like the one demonstrated today.”

Anyone who is concerned about drug related crime should call 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
