A BIG-HEARTED fund raiser from Matchborough has helped a local charity raise enough money to purchase yet another life-saving defibrillator.
Dwaine Brown completed the gruelling Wolverhampton marathon raising £1,230 for the Charlotte and Craig Saving Hearts Foundation.
Formerly known as Redditch Heart Safe, the charity is run by Rob and Maggie Underwood who tragically suffered the loss of their son Craig and daughter Charlotte within the space of just three years.
The team campaigns tirelessly to equip schools and communities with life-saving defibrillators.
Maggie said: “As always Dwaine trained really hard to achieve his goal. We cannot thank him enough – he is a real life-saver.”
Over the summer, the foundation and its fundraisers managed to raise enough cash to purchase 13 defibs and Maggie rejoices in the fact that, to her knowledge, every school in Redditch is now equipped with one.
