A NERVOUS team of Redditch solicitors are taking a 10,000 foot leap of faith in aid of a local charity.
On Saturday September 24, ‘The Fearless Five’ from Thomas Horton Solicitors, based on Church Green East, will be jumping into the clouds thousands of feet above the ground and free falling at over 120mph in aid of the Primrose Hospice charity, who provide care and support for families living with life-limiting illness.
The skydive team, comprising of Richard Hull, Samantha Freeman, Fiona Lawson-Hughes, Jenny Barnes and Jodie Ricketts – are urging people to come and support them.
Family Law Executive, Jodie Ricketts said: “Thomas Horton is a huge supporter of Primrose hospice and the work they do is incredible and we felt that the skydive was a fundraiser which would really test our personal limits.
“You can pop into our offices or visit our webpage to donate – but we want to raise as much as possible so that this great service can continue providing their invaluable service for free.
“I’m not sure anything can prepare you for how you will feel sitting on the edge of a plane at 10,000 feet but despite the nerves, we are all very much looking forward to the experience and most importantly raising valuable funds for Primrose.
“I personally have lost close family members through life-limiting illnesses, and it is hard to explain in words how this feels. Primrose are exceptional in how they help patients and families deal with what is the most challenging time in their life.”
Staff at the firm have also been raising money for Primrose with cake sales and a raffle, with one lucky staff member winning a day off work.
Primrose Hospice is an independent charity supporting patients and families living with a life-limiting illness, providing day service, family support service and care at home service.
