THE FORMER headteacher of a Redditch school has been ordered to sign the Sex Offenders register after admitting to spying on a woman undressing.

David Doubtfire put his head under a changing room cubicle to watch the victim at Evesham Leisure Centre on July 17, last year.

The 52-year-old from Bidford-on-Avon pleaded guilty to observing a person doing a private act at Hereford Crown Court on Monday (June 23).

But in his defence, he said he fell over in the changing room and took advantage of his position to stare at the woman.

Doubtfire had to resign from his position in charge of Walkwood Middle School when the charges were made.

He was ordered to sign the sex offenders’ register for a year and was handed a 12-month conditional discharge.
