AN AP-PEEL has been launched for residents to attend a wassailing event.

Members of the town council’s environment sub-committee are calling on people to visit the Jubilee Centre on St Faith’s Road on Saturday, February 21.

From 10.30am until 12.30am free refreshments including mulled cider, hot chocolate and biscuits, will be on offer to those wanting to improve the community orchard.

An expert from Natural England will be giving a talk on pruning and then green-fingered residents can have a go and enjoy the fruit of their labour.

People of all ages are welcome and should bring secateurs and wear warm clothing.
