Fund-raisers fight back after ‘disgusting’ Astwood Bank charity box theft

BIG hearted residents have shown just how much they care after a Primrose Hospice charity box was stolen from Astwood Bank company Imagination Street.

The collection tin, believed to contain almost £40, was taken on October 24 after the thieves cut the chain it was attached to on a counter.

But in response a JustGiving page was set up and a number of fund-raising activities organised, which brought in an amazing £257 for the hospice.

Matt Jinks, who co-owns Imagination Street with Kevin Grubb, said: “I am so proud of our team and the public for their reaction to this disgusting act.

“A big thank you to all who contributed.”
