Generations mark First World War

Redditch Editorial 6th Nov, 2014 Updated: 18th Oct, 2016   0

GENERATIONS came together to mark the centenary of the First World War with a special tea party and concert.

Trinity High School hosted the Lest We Forget event on Thursday, October 23 as parents, grandparents, members of the local community and relatives of students joined in the act of remembrance.

Entertainment was provided by Year 11 and 13 drama students while music students contributed their own interpretation of classic songs including a rousing version of ‘You Are My Sunshine’ and a spine-tingling interpretation of a scene from the classic play and film ‘Oh! What a Lovely War’.

Tea and cakes were enjoyed while some students’ grandparents brought in pictures of loved ones who had been involved in conflicts past and present.
