LACE up your shoes and step out for Redditch Ramblers’ Walking Festival next month.
Running from August 1 until August 7, in all there are 15 walks in and around Redditch planned with distances ranging from one to ten miles and suitable for most levels of fitness.
Festival co-ordinator Paul Field said: “We want to remind people how beautiful Redditch actually is.
“All the walks start in Redditch and explore a different area of the town, taking in natural beauty, history and greenery.
“We hope to motivate people to become more involved with walking and to take an interest in the town around us.”
As well as exploring woods, parks and nature centres, the festival offers a Ghost Walk, a wheel-friendly walk and a Ramb-ale visiting four pubs along the way.
Some of the walks also have shorter options and one has a teddy-bear’s picnic en route.
The walks, supported by Redditch Council, are all free although there are limited spaces on the Ghost Walk.
