A GIRL of three was bitten by a dog while walking through part of Redditch.

The attack happened in Matchborough Centre about 3.15pm last Friday (July 11). The girl was walking with her sister when she approached the dog, tied up outside a chemist, and ended up with injuries to her face. When confronted the dog’s owner refused to give his details and fled the scene.

Police are now urgently trying to trace the owner of the dog which is described as looking like a grey hound or a whippet, possibly white or grey in colour and is believed to be old in age. The owner has been described as a man in his late 60s or 70s, of a large build and wearing smart grey trousers and a light coloured light weight jacket.
