Girl from Redditch gets the chop for good cause

A KIND-HEARTED little girl from Redditch has donated ten inches of her lovely locks to charity after seeing a poorly child who had lost their own hair due to illness.

Selfless Bella Hughes, from Enfield, braved the chop on Sunday (June 19) after she asked her mum, Kimberley, why another child she had seen had no hair.

“When I explained why the child didn’t have any hair she said ‘I have lots of hair. They can have some of mine’.”

Kimberley looked it up and found the Little Princess Trust, which makes real hair wigs for children throughout the UK and Ireland who have lost their own hair to cancer treatment.

The four-year-old decided to make the sacrifice for the charity and is going one step further by asking people to donate to the cause.

“I am so proud of my beautiful little girl,” said Kimberley.

“I was feeling very emotional when she cut off ten inches to give to poorly children.

“She was a little shocked at what it looked like when she first saw her haircut but giggled and said someone is going to get my Rapunzel hair.”
