Granddaughter to raise funds for Alzheimer's

THE GRANDDAUGHTER of a factory founder is set to host a coffee morning there to raise money for the condition he suffers from.

Funds from the event at Translift Bendi in Padgets Lane will be split between the Alzheimer’s Society and the Newhaven ward at the Princess of Wales Hospital where Freddy Brown, the founding chairman, is currently being looked after.

His granddaughter Hannah Malins has organised the event, as well as a fun day in the Lenches in July, with the aim of fund-raising and raising awareness of the condition.

The day, which runs from 10am to 2pm on Friday, June 27 will include a rugby shirt from Manu Tuilagi being sold off as well as refreshments, a raffle and other games.
