Guiding their way to challenge success

Redditch Editorial 16th Aug, 2015 Updated: 18th Oct, 2016   0

A TEAM of girls from 2nd Studley Guides finished the summer term on a note of success.

They joined 28 other teams in the bi-annual Orbit Challenge, organised by Girlguiding Warwickshire and held at the county campsite, Hardiman Fields in Shipston on Stour.

Despite being reduced to three as one of the team qualified for the National Cycling Championships, the girls, Giraffes, battled against all the others who had up to six members.

Immediately after lunch, one of the Studley crew, Isobel Parker, had to withdraw due to illness but the two remaining members went on to be joint winners, a remarkable feat.
