Hair-raising pearl of a pie tale hits Redditch

TAKE a trip down Fleet Street this weekend when the Redditch Palace Youth Theatre’s summer production of Sweeney Todd hits the stage.

This Saturday (August 13) theatre-goers can follow the dark story of the demon barber of Fleet Street and his accomplice Mrs Lovett in a special school edition adaptation of Stephen Sondheim’s original score which is suitable for age eights and over.

The Palace Youth Theatre have been running their annual summer school and for the past two weeks young performers have been rehearsing to put on the show.

Lizzi Tabberer, Youth Theatre and Arts Officer for Redditch Borough Council, said: “We have an amazing cast for this show with extremely talented performers who have worked really hard over the past two weeks.”




Sweeney Todd will be showing this Saturday at 2.30pm and 7.30pm and tickets cost £12 and £10 for concessions, including booking fee.
