THERE’S a lot of chin scratching going on at Wythall Theatre Company where three of the men are busy growing beards – to the discomfort of their wives.
The company are in the final stages of preparing for their latest production, The Vicar of Dibley, which will be staged at Studley Village Hall later this month.
“I understand their wives aren’t very happy but it does promise to be a fantastic show,” said Estelle Shutkever, who has spent 55 years with the company and plays Mrs Cropley, the woman who’s culinary speciality is ham and lemon curd sandwiches.
The Vicar of Dibley runs daily at 7.30pm from May 20-23 and tickets cost £8 on the first night and then £10 with a proportion of takings going to charity.
