RESIDENTS are being asked to take their hats off to help Finlay’s Friends smash another target.
The fund-raisers are asking residents to donate their unwanted hat to contribute their attempt to break the World Record for the longest line of hats which currently stands at 1,000. The charity honours the memory of brave Alvechurch boy Finlay Church who sadly lost his battle with a brain tumour in November last year.
All the donations will then go on to Socks and Chocs who provide items for the homeless.
The main event will take place from 3.30pm on Friday, May 20, at Alvechurch Middle School and will be followed by games, refreshments and a barbecue on the field.
