Hot-foot it for charity in Redditch

Redditch Editorial 16th Jul, 2016 Updated: 18th Oct, 2016   0

THERE is still time for those with a taste for heat to sign up for a charity firewalk in Redditch this month.

On July 30 The Oast House in Redditch will host the walk over burning embers where temperatures will reach 1200 degrees Fahrenheit – and all in the name of charity.

Money raised will go to The Charlotte and Craig Saving Hearts Foundation which was set up by Rob and Maggie Underwood in 2011 to provide the local community with defibrillators.

People wanting to do the walk can also join the event and support a different charity for a fee of £40.

This will cover the short training session and the walk itself and allows people to gather funds for causes close to their own hearts.

All participants will have a training class at 2pm before the walk across hot coals at 3pm.

Anyone interested in volunteering can go to [email protected] or call Rob on 07794 637073 for sponsorship forms.
