MORE than 100 people packed into Cookhill Village Hall to mark a special milestone reached by Redditch Inner Wheel.
The fund-raising club celebrated their 60th birthday in style by hosting a vintage tea party at the Evesham Road site last Tuesday (March 31).
A total of 109 people including the town’s Mayor Pat Witherspoon went along to commemorate the founding of the ladies’ group.
Sandwiches, scones and a brass band were all on offer before Audrey Stubbings, the longest service member of the Inner Wheel who joined in 1966, cut the cake to officially celebrate the milestone.
