A PAIR of borough schoolgirls stepped their way to success after winning gold at the World Irish Dancing Championships.
St Augustine’s Catholic High School students Erin Woodcock and Emily Gaynor, were among team members who took home three world titles at the event in London.
The 15-year-olds beat off global competition including more than 90 teams from Australia, USA, Ireland and Poland.
They took home the triple gold medals in the under-16 figure competition, under-16 Ceili competition and Senior ladies figure.
The trophies will be displayed at their school of dance, The Carery Academy in Birmingham.
