THE TOWN’S MP Karen Lumley paid a visit to a Redditch electronics company last week alongside London Underground managing director, Nick Brown.

Arrowvale Electronics, based in Lakeside, the principal supplier to Transport for London (TfL) in the West Midlands, with contracts worth over £4.5 million over the next seven years.

The firm provides remote monitoring equipment for Docklands Light Railway (DLR) which allows faults to be detected and rectified before they cause a failure that affects the service.

The crucial work of Arrowvale Electronics ensures efficient maintenance of the track and improved reliability across the DLR network.

Mrs Lumley added the company plays a vital role in keeping London moving.

She added: ” I was proud to show them off as a beacon of success within Redditch. The involvement of Arrowvale Electronics is proof that local companies can and do win lucrative national contracts.”
